What happened

Angelus has launched the Tachymètre, a trio of 37mm hand-wound chronographs, according to Monochrome Watches and Oracle of Time. Oracle of Time published its report on 9 October 2026. The yellow gold edition costs CHF 34,600 and is limited to 15 pieces.

Two steel editions cost CHF 18,500 each: a pink-dial version limited to 30 pieces and a grey-dial version limited to 50. Monochrome gave the prices as including VAT (value added tax).

That makes 95 watches in all, a total Oracle of Time stated. Oracle also gave approximate sterling equivalents of £31,444 for the gold watch and £16,813 for each steel one. These are Oracle's conversions of the Swiss franc prices, labelled approximate.

The watches follow the Chronographe Télémètre, which Monochrome covered on 27 March 2025. That series was priced, again including VAT, at CHF 32,300 for 15 gold pieces and CHF 17,900 for each of two steel versions, limited to 25 pieces per colour. The gold edition therefore rises by CHF 2,300.

The steel editions rise by CHF 600. The run grows by 30 watches, with the steel allocation now split across editions of 30 and 50 pieces, against 25 per colour in 2025.

Monochrome said the main difference from the 2025 Télémètre is on the dial, where a tachymeter scale replaces a telemeter scale (used for calculating distance). It described the 37mm case, 9.25mm thick, as already familiar, with water resistance of 30 metres.

It said the watch is powered by Angelus' hand-wound A5000 calibre (movement), made by sister company La Joux-Perret, which runs at 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a 42-hour power reserve.
